About UConn Residential Life
Residence Hall Association

UConn RHA thrives on its pillars of service, advocacy, and programming. From campus wide initiatives such as “UConnapalooza”, a spring weekend carnival theme event that has been adapted over time to focus on themes of sustainability, to smaller-scale programs such as a New to Storrs Spring social that welcomed campus-change students and transfer students by providing a welcoming environment, RHA aims to hold programs with intentionality and is working towards a programming system that outlines purpose for every event that is planned. Recently pushing for an emphasis on social justice programming, UConn RHA has been working to plan campus wide social justice programs to educate residents about important issues on diversity. UConn RHA operates as an executive board with ResLife advisors who serve as full time Hall Director professionals. Our executive board oversees a general board of 17 Hall Associations, one Hall Association for each residential area on campus.
National Residence Hall Honorary
UConn NRHH operates on the two pillars of recognition and service. NRHH thrives on Of The Month submissions, reaching up to over 200 submission a month. NRHH puts on a variety of service and recognition events, including their biggest event: St. Baldrick's, a fundraiser for childhood cancer. NRHH also does numerous passive programs for Community Service and Recognition such as food and clothing drives to an RA Appreciation project.
---
Both RHA & NRHH at UConn operate fully under the Department of Residential Life, a system new as of the 2016-2017 academic year, receiving funds directly from the department. RHA & NRHH aim to collaborate with as many on-campus organizations possible to reach residents and provide meaningful and impactful programming and events.
